On this page you can access information on the development of the use of the Rochdale Schools Network. Pupil e-mail generation It is a requirement that all pupils at Key Stage 2 have access to e-mail accounts. Whilst all pupils can use KS2 and class based accounts requested by schools, RSN systems have been designed to accommodate individual pupil e-mails. After a successful pilot at Harwood Park, four more schools have now been selected to trial systems further. These schools (Bullough Moor, St Margaret's, St Luke's and Deeplish) have been contacted by Mossfield CDC. KS2 pupil e-mail accounts have been generated by using SIMS changes files and information on the new accounts has been forwarded to the schools involved. These pupils will now be able to e-mail each other but not to any external address. More information on the use of individual pupil e-mails will appear here soon. Rochdale Schools Network Rollout Progress Report Future dates in the programme are subject to change and schools will be contacted with further information as this becomes available. The schools indicated as CLC School already benefit from broadband access and will be connected to the Rochdale Schools Network late in the programme.
