Further information will be published here as it becomes available and schools are invited to mail helpdesk@edit.org.uk to get the latest information where the developments are of particular interest. Working with third parties - position statement A number of members of the public and local and national companies seeking to sell services and equipment to schools are now approaching the EDIT Team direct with requests for further information on Rochdale Schools Network systems. Unscrupulous traders are known to have claimed EDIT approval following such a call. Dealing with the volume and nature of these calls is diverting resources from the delivery of core services and is delaying systems development. It has been determined therefore that such requests from third parties shall only be accepted by e-mail to helpdesk@edit.org.uk Information on RSN infrastructure, recommended hardware specifications and all information necessary to connect hardware to the network is published on this web site and in shared folders. The EDIT Team shall, of course, continue to deliver telephone support to users in schools under the Rochdale Schools Network SLA. |
